Environmental protection is a civic responsibility for Louisiane®. Each employee contributes in his or her area of expertise to the success of this common ambition: to conserve the environment around us. We assess all of the company’s sectors, environmental impacts and avenues for progress so we can make continual progress according to a rationale of sustainable development.

Design

The aim is to introduce the environment into the process of conventional product design and product improvement. Our models benefit from the latest advances in eco-design for minimal environmental impact throughout their life cycle.

Our 4 main areas of work are:

  • The selection of ever more environmentally friendly materials, with ongoing assessment of our suppliers.
  • Management of the building's impact on the environment through an extensive selection of materials, successfully integrating the project into its destination site.
  • Creating a healthy and comfortable environment for its occupants. For example, we install water flow restrictors on mixer taps. We opt for products with low formaldehyde content.
  • We anticipate the challenges of deconstruction by using techniques that limit the use of non-ecological products and waste production. Stapling is one of the processes that facilitates end-of-life deconstruction while ensuring solid assembly.

Production

Every day, we work to reduce our ecological footprint through the implementation of environmentally friendly production processes. Within this context, raising awareness and training employees and subcontractors around environmental impacts, improving sorting, reducing hazardous products and reducing the energy consumption of production sites are all steps that we are taking within our company. Finally, we are making progress every day in the use of eco-certified materials (VOC-free glue, solid wood, etc.) by optimising our various assembly techniques.

Energy savings

Louisiane® mobile homes now benefit from technologies that reduce electricity, gas and water consumption.
For example:

  • High performance insulation
  • Flow restrictors at water outlets
  • Dual flow flushing
  • LED bulbs

Recycling

Committed to a sustainable development approach, we follow each life stage of our mobile homes and are involved in end-of-life management and recycling. Éco Mobil-Home is responsible for the end of life of mobile homes on the French market, from collection to treatment and recycling of materials. Éco Mobil-Home allows campsites to remove dilapidated accommodation simply and free of charge.

Centralised technical management

Louisiane® offers CTM (Centralised Technical Management) with our partner Delta Dore, which allows you to control your mobile homes (lighting, access control, opening control, heating management, etc.), control energy management, facilitate maintenance and improve the comfort of your customers.
