The leisure home subsidiary of the Finadorm Group was born with the creation of Sunshine Habitat in 2018, which brings together the 4 daughter brands of the Habitat branch: Sunshine Mobile Homes, Sunshine Chalets, Sunshine Lodges and Sunshine Outdoor. This combination allows Sunshine Habitat to be the first and only brand in the outdoor accommodation market to offer these 3 types of rental and residential accommodation as well as a related offering of terraces. Sunshine Habitat was created after the acquisition of Lodges CIAT in 2018 by the Finadorm Group led by Jean-Rémy Bergounhe, founder and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who manages the Group’s 4 business sectors: Le Sommeil Français (Bedding), Leisure Homes, Early Childhood and Wood Construction.

Lodges CIAT complements Finadorm Group's offering in the outdoor accommodation market with Louisiane Mobile Homes and Chalets Fabre. It is an opportunity to pool the historical strengths of each brand to create a new offer for professionals in the camping sector.

In 2022, Sunshine Habitat decided to highlight its range of terraces and accessories, based on the expertise of the Sicob brand, and created Sunshine Outdoor.
